Prior to joining PCP, Mr. Amlber was a Senior Credit Analyst in the High Yield Group at Lord Abbett & Co. with responsibility for the utility, energy and basic industry sectors.
He also developed corporate investment strategy for the firm’s Core and Core Plus strategies.
For the five years prior to Lord Abbett, he was a Senior Credit Analyst and Principal at Sanford Bernstein & Co., where he analyzed high yield and investment grade transactions across all sectors.
While there, he also provided analytic coverage of revenue bonds for the tax-exempt group.
He began his career at Moody’s Investor Service, where he spent 11 years as a Vice President/Assistant Director.
During his tenure at Moody’s, he opened a full-service office in San Francisco and established and developed the firm’s revenue bond specialty group.
Mr. Ambler received a Masters in Public Affairs from Princeton University‘s Woodrow Wilson School and a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
