The firm was founded in 1999 to manage mutual funds which they distribute in different European countries. Headquartered in Ballsbridge, MAML, through Mediolanum International Funds, provides a range of mutual funds including funds of funds and umbrella funds to retail customers in Spain, Germany, Austria and Italy through the business networks of agents.

Rothschild HDF Investment Solutions SA is the majority-owned subsidiary of Rothschild Martin Maurel, ultimately held by Rothschild & Co. SCA, (XP: ROTH) in France.
