Chris Seid

Dr. Seid is a molecular biologist who is currently Technical Manager for the Molecular Genomics BioProduction group at the American Type Culture Collection (Manassas Virginia), where he is responsible for directing the manufacture of ATCC's Molecular Genomics products and managing the automated robotic processes.
Prior to this, we was the chief Protein Scientist for Regeneration Technologies, Inc. (RTI), where his primary focus was the identification of factors in human tissue that could enhance the healing capabilities of allograft implants.
At RTI, he was part of a team that received a 3-year NIST-ATP award to develop an allograft-based gene delivery method.
Before his work with RTI, he was involved in the cloning, expression, optimization and manufacture of recombinant proteins for use in clinical trials program at Zonagen, Inc., a reproductive healthcare/biopharmaceutical company based in The Woodlands, Texas.
He has also worked at M.D.
Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, Texas) in the Department of Cell Biology, where he focused on mechanisms of multi-drug resistance and the efficacy of Biological Response Modifiers as adjunct therapy for treatment of cancer.
Dr. Seid received his Ph.D.
in Molecular and Developmental Biology from the University of Houston in 1994, and his BS in Microbiology from Stephen F.
Austin State University (Nacogdoches Texas) in 1987.
