Barbara Sinclair

Ms. Barbara Sinclair is Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at Medical Mutual Insurance Co. of Maine.
She breadth and depth of her experience in Medical Mutual’s financial operations, coupled with her experience in the financial services industry in the banking and mutual fund services provider arenas, made Barbara a natural choice when she was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2013.
Having begun her Medical Mutual career as a Financial Analyst in 2006, she spent seven years in a role that encompassed all key areas of the Company’s financial management – analyzing and advising on everything from reinsurance treaties, reserve balances and investment accounting, to regulatory compliance and rate setting, as well as assessing claims experience versus actuarial projections.
Ms. Sinclair worked at Pepperell Bank & Trust, Forum Financial Group, AAA Northern New England, Fleet Bank of Maine, Maine Savings Bank and Macdonald Page & Co LLC.
She received her BS in Accounting from Thomas College and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.
She is a Certified Public Accountant.
