Mr. Ashar Mahboob is Co-Founder & Chief Investment Officer at Quantbot Technologies LP.
His expertise in the quantitative finance field eventually led him to co-found Quantbot in 2009.
Before co-founding Quantbot in 2009, Mr. Mahboob started off in quantitative developer roles at Bank of America Securities and Fuji Capital Markets in New York before becoming a senior member of Morgan Stanley’s Equity Trading Lab (ETL) proprietary trading group.
He then progressed to Merrill Lynch, where he served as a Managing Director and co-headed their statistical arbitrage proprietary trading group (QSA).
He holds BS and MS degrees in Computer Science and MS degree in Computational Finance.
