Dr. Abay Alpamissov graduated from Computing Mathematics and Cybernetics Department of the Moscow State M.V.
Lomonosov University.
Prior to being appointed as Chairman of the Board by Kazyna Capital Management, he worked as Managing Director and a member of the Board of Kazyna Sustainable Development Fund.
He has experience in the Republic of Kazakhstan official service.
He worked as Director of State Assets Management Department of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning, as Deputy Head of the Republic of Kazakhstan Audit Committee and held a number of leading positions, among them Member of the Board in the group of companies, Kazmunaigaz JSC NC and Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC NC.
He held leading positions in second level banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan, among them State Housing Construction Bank and BTA Bank JSC and was given World Bank Award for the best economic research.
He is Ph.D in Economics.
