Mr. Whalen received his graduate degree in 1987 from Boston University and undergraduate degree in 1982 from Ithaca College.

Daniel A.
Whalen is former President of Whalen & Company, Inc.,one of the subsidiaries of Tetra Tech, Inc. He joined the Board of Directors of Tetra Tech, Inc. upon acquisition of Whalen & Company, Inc. in June 1997.
He is co-founder of First Cellular Group, Inc., The Microwave Group, Inc., Network Building & Consulting, Inc. and Cellular Development Company.
He was Vice President-Operations of American Tele-Services, Inc. and Director of Operations of NYNEX Mobile Services.

Mr. Whalen co-founded Trinity Capital Advisors in 1989, which merged into Sterling Capital Management in 1991.
Prior to that Mr. Whalen worked for nine years at NCNB, first in the Funds Management Division and later in the Investment Banking Division.
Mr. Whalen is a graduate of Brown University where he received a BA in Biology and Psychology.
He was named a Faculty Fellow and received his MBA from Duke University.
