Headquartered in Hong Kong, Legg Mason HK was founded in 1994 as Legg Mason Investments Hong Kong Ltd. They are a dedicated Hong Kong and China equities investment manager that provides discretionary investment management, investment advisory and related support services to a variety of institutional clients, including pensions, pooled investment vehicles, corporations, and government entities.

Legg Mason International Equities (Hong Kong) Ltd. (LMIE) is a subsidiary of LM International Holdings, LP, ultimately owned by Baltimore-based Legg Mason, Inc. (NYSE: LM). The firm is the Hong Kong office of Legg Mason International Equities, which is part of the institutional division of the parent group, and is headquartered in London. Other offices are located in New York, Tokyo, Singapore, Melbourne, Sao Paulo and Warsaw.
