She then worked as a Vice President of Application Development at Assurant, Inc. She later became the Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President at West Bend Mutual Insurance Co. from 2008 to 2017.
From 2017 to 2021, she worked as the Chief Innovation Officer and Executive VP at Employers Holdings, Inc. Berg received her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota and her MBA from Kellogg School of Management.
