Headquartered in New York City, Cathay Financial Corp. is an employee-owned independent research firm and institutional broker-dealer. Their product encompassed fundamental equity, (with an insistence on catalysts), special situations including spin-offs, orphan equities and mergers. They do not have a maintenance model. Cathay was founded in 1992 by Bernard Joei.
