Richard Alcock

Rich oversees the Material Transfer Agreements (MTA) process within the Technology Transactions group of OTD.
His team manages all of Harvard’s material transfer requests, which govern the flow of research materials both to and from Harvard researchers.
He is also responsible for negotiating and signing confidential disclosure agreements handled by OTD, as well as the licensing of Harvard materials to for-profit entities.
Rich joined OTD in 2012 after spending three years at Partners HealthCare in its Office of Research Ventures & Licensing.
He has also worked in the general counsel’s office at Critical Therapeutics, Inc. and in the business law departments of Boston law firms Hutchins, Wheeler and Dittmar, PC, and Hale and Dorr, LLP.
Rich holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a BA from Boston College.
