Dr. Mike Meyer is an internationally known expert in Applied Statistics with special expertise in statistical computation and large data sets.
He was a faculty member in Statistics at Carnegie Mellon University and a founding member of that university's Center for Automated Learning and Discovery.
He served as a director of the Carnegie Mellon Academic Computing Center.
He is an honorary Fellow of the American Statistical Association and serves on National Academy of Science advisory panels.
He has held numerous management and advisory roles in the American Statistical Association, Institute of Mathematical Statistics, Interface Foundation of North America, and the International Association for Statistical Computing.
Mike has authored 2 books, over 15 refereed articles, and numerous book reviews and miscellaneous publications.
Most recently he was a senior member in Amazon.com's personalization team.
He has a BA in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Western Australia and a PhD in Statistics from the University of Minnesota.
