Louis-Matthieu Heck

Louis-Matthieu is a Partner at Apera and is responsible for developing the business in France and the Benelux region.
Louis-Matthieu has been active in the LBO and acquisition finance markets for over 20 years, originating and arranging transactions first with international banks and subsequently in the direct lending space.
Louis-Matthieu started his career in the Leveraged Finance / Financial Sponsors team of Merrill Lynch in London, before moving on to Royal Bank of Scotland in Paris, as a director in the Leveraged Finance Group.
He also successfully developed the LBO franchise of IKB Deutsche Industriebank in the French market as head of the Paris team.
He joins from HIG WhiteHorse, where he was responsible for launching and managing the private debt activities in France.
Louis-Matthieu has a management degree from EM Lyon, a master’s degree in finance from Sciences Po Paris and an MBA from INSEAD.
