Formed in 2008 as joint venture Company between Dutch Technology Fund I.B.V. and Alaska Food Diagnostics Ltd (UK), AK Diagnostics is further developing and marketing Alaska's AK-PhageTM Technology to provide new benefits in pathogen screening in the Primary Food Sector. Together with Alaska and RnA Assays BV, AK Diagnostics is collaborating in a EUREKA approved project for the testing of blood, meat drip and eggs of animals (principally pigs, cattle and poultry) at farm level or during slaughter.

Alaska Food Diagnostics Ltd. provides ultrasensitive rapid detection systems to the food and beverage markets. It offers FastrAK Salmonella, an ultra rapid testing system for food manufacturers. The company was founded in August 2000 and is headquartered in Salisbury, UK.
