Jim Osborne

Jim was the former Chairman and CEO of United Garage Door Company and is now an operating partner to NorthCurrent, serving on the board of United Garage Door Company.
In his twenty-five years at United Jim was the driver and chief architect of a growth-driven strategy which led to United Garage Door Company becoming one of the largest independent overhead door and door opener distributors in the Midwest.
With locations in Cleveland, Columbus and Pittsburgh, United has become a market leader with a focus on customer experience and satisfaction along with developing and mentoring key personnel within the Company.
Jim lives in Chardon, Ohio with his wife, Lisa, of 46 years.
Jim and Lisa have 3 children and 8 grandchildren.
Prior to his career with and ownership of United Garage Door Company, Jim earned a B.A. in Economics at Ohio Wesleyan University in 1979.
He then worked in management for the Kroger Company for twenty years.
Jim enjoys his family, fly fishing, traveling.
Jim is also a supporter of many local charities and an active member of Hambden Congregational Church.
