Mr. James Woodburn joined CLSA Capital Partners in July 2008, responsible for deal sourcing, acquisition and underwriting of real estate investments throughout Asia.
Mr. Woodburn has over 16 years of experience in real estate markets across Australia & Asia.
Mr. Woodburn was Head of Origination Asia, responsible for the identification of assets and transaction management of acquisitions for Allcos property vehicles.
Prior to joining Allco, he was Director of Property & Investment Advisory at UrbisJHD in Sydney, a national real estate consultancy firm and Australia's largest independent town planning and property consultancy.
Prior to this, Mr. Woodburn was a Director at Grant Samuel, a private Australian investment bank, and was responsible for corporate real estate services, and acted on several of Australia's largest office leasing commitments.
Mr. Woodburns expertise in Australia spanned all major markets across the areas of commercial, retail and industrial, and culminated as the lead advisor role to Westpac in their pre-commitment to their new flagship Sydney headquarters of 800,000sq ft.
Mr. Woodburns real estate career commenced in the early 1990s at Jones Lang Lasalle in Sydney's commercial leasing department.
He graduated from Australian Graduate School of Management Executive Programme in 2003 and graduated from the University of Technology, Kuring-gai, in 1991, with a Bachelor of Arts, Tourism Management.
