Arner is a conservative investment manager with a long- to very-long-term investment horizon. Their investment philosophy centers on absolute returns, minimizing volatility, and closely monitoring markets. The bank customizes their investment approach to their client's profile. They invest globally in equity and high grade bonds, focusing on G10 countries. The bank also invests in alternative asset classes and products. Arner's hedge fund Talentum Activedge follows a long/short, market-neutral strategy and is invested in Europe. Within the World Invest umbrella fund, the management of specialist compartments such as Japanese, Latin America and global equity is delegated to external asset managers, as is the US high-tech and media equity portfolio. Arner manages the fixed-income compartments and the European equity funds, in particular the Swiss and Italian portfolios. Research combines quantitative and fundamental analysis with company visits.

BV follows VONN's global, centralized, investment policy. The firm mainly manages portfolios invested in global equity, fixed-income and money-market instruments. At the core of VONN's investment philosophy is a strategic asset allocation process, which follows a top-down approach. The firm allocates assets in accordance with the fundamental assessment of macroeconomic factors such as global economies, currencies, interest rates, global stock markets and sectors. At the same time, VONN utilizes quantitative models to establish tailored portfolio structures. Once asset allocation has been determined, fund managers select stocks from the Vontobel Buy List, which is built by a Global Equity Research team. Equities on the list are selected via a standardized process which follows a combination of bottom-up and top-down selection. VONN's analysts perform fundamental analysis of targeted shares, assessing qualitative and quantitative factors. Market timing, based on technical analysis, is the final step before equities can be added to the buy list.

CSPB is an active manager which performs in-house research. The firm's Investment Committee defines the investment strategy. In addition, based on the economic and financial analyses carried out by Credit Suisse Investment Research, the Investment Committee decides on the weighting of investment assets in the individual investment vehicles including money markets, bonds, equities, alternative investments, commodities and cash. The firm's Investment Committee also decides on short and medium-term trading options in a three to six-month horizon. The investment policy is monitored continuously at the Investment Committee's weekly meetings.
