Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority provides power distribution services. It offers services in three operational areas, electric systems, transmission and distribution systems, and client service. The firm also provides support in areas such as engineering, finance, environmental protection and planning, human resources, administration services, corporate information systems, and legal affairs. It operates five generation plants in San Juan, Palo Seco, Aguirre, Costa Sur, and Arecibo. The firm also operates 33 customer service and 29 technical support offices. Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority was founded in 1941 and is headquartered in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
