Dean Fortin

Dean has been the director of the Burnside Gorge Community Centre for the past 12 years.
Previously, he helped establish and operated the Victoria Association for Street Kids for seven years.
He has practiced as a lawyer in both Whitehorse and in Victoria.
Dean has been recently elected to Victoria City Council, chairs the Sludge Management Advisory Committee for the Capital Regional District, and is the council liaison for the Housing Advisory committee.
He also sits as a Water Commissioner for the Greater Victoria Water Board.
Previously he sat on the BC Benefits Appeal Board, the Victoria Police Board and is the former Head Coach for the Oak Bay Sr. Girls Basketball team.
