Ascendant Advisors LLC is an investment management firm headquartered in Houston, Texas. The firm was originally formed in 1970 as Texas Investment Management Co. and was later renamed John H. Lee & Co. In 1983, they became known as Pension Management Co. In July 2009, the firm was purchased by a group of strategic investors, acquired new management and became known as Ascendant Advisors LLC. They are a subsidiary of Ascendant Advisors Group LLC. Ascendant Advisors manages assets of individual and institutional clients.

Salient Partners LP (Salient) is an asset management boutique headquartered in Houston, Texas. The firm was founded in 2002 by Andrew Linbeck, Jeremy Radcliffe and Haag Sherman. In 2003, the firm merged with Pinnacle Management & Trust Co. to form Salient Partners & Pinnacle Trust Co. Two years later the firm adopted the name Salient Partners LP. In 2022, they were acquired by Westwood Holdings Group, Inc. (NYSE: WHG). Salient provides real assets, tactical equity alternatives, and private solutions for institutional investors and investment advisors.
