Christina Somers

Ms. Christina Somers, CFA, is a Portfolio Manager at Manulife Investment Management Ltd.
She is responsible for the portfolio management of liability-driven investments and fixed-income index mandates.
She works jointly with the team’s quantitative research and risk management professionals in the implementation of a variety of quantitative strategies.
She joined the firm when Standard Life's Canadian operations were acquired by Manulife in January 2015.
In 2001, she joined Standard Life as an actuarial analyst and later became part of the performance team at Standard Life Investments.
In 2014, she joined the quantitative management team.
Prior to joining Standard Life, she was an actuarial analyst at Morneau Sobeco.
She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
