Sourcerock Group LLC (Sourcerock) is an independent, SEC-registered investment advisor and hedge fund manager headquartered in Denver, Colorado. The firm was founded by Christian Zann in 2020. Sourcerock provides discretionary investment management services to pooled investment vehicles organized as private investment funds, sub-advised private funds and other pooled investment vehicles and in the future may offer similar management services to institutional clients through separately managed accounts.

The firm’s predecessor, Balyasny Capital Management LLC (BCM), was founded in 2001 by Dmitry Balyasny, Scott Schroeder and Taylor O'Malley. In 2003, BCM converted from a limited liability company to a limited partnership. Then, in January 2004, their name was changed to Balyasny Asset Management LP. They are a subsidiary of Balyasny Asset Management Holdings LP. BAM provides investment advisory services to high net-worth individuals and institutional clients through privately offered pooled investment funds.

The firm was founded in 1946 and is a subsidiary of FMR LLC, also known as Fidelity Investments. FMR provides investment supervisory services, which include sub-advisory services, to Fidelity's family of mutual funds and exchange-traded funds, qualified tuition programs, privately offered unregistered investment funds, separately managed account clients, and various other institutional accounts.
