Bill Kung

Prior to joining General Catalyst, Mr. Kung served as a senior associate at Mission Ventures, where he focused on wireless and software investments.
Mr. Kung sourced, led and was actively involved with several of the companies within the Mission Ventures portfolio, including: Greenplum, Networks In Motion, MaxLinear, MedicineNet Snapbridge, Verimatrix and Zyray .
Earlier, Mr. Kung was with Venturehouse, where he focused on Cibernet, Matrics, XM Satellite Radio, and was a director of Thought Equity.
Prior to Venturehouse, Mr. Kung was a management consultant at McKinsey and Company.
Mr. Kung is a co-founder and serves as a director of Young Venture Capital (YVC).
Additionally, he is on the selection committee for the National Science Foundation SBIC Grants.
Mr. Kung graduated, summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering with a B.S.
and from the Wharton School of Business with a B.S.
Bill received his MS Computation from Magdalen College, Oxford University in applied machine learning.
