MissionSquare Retirement (Investment Management) (MissionSquare Retirement-IM) is the investment management division of MissionSquare Retirement, a mission-based, nonstock, nonprofit, financial services company headquartered in Washington, DC. Formerly known as International City Management Association Retirement, the firm was founded in 1972 to assist state and local governments and their agencies and instrumentalities in the establishment and maintenance of deferred compensation and qualified retirement plans for their public sector employees. MissionSquare Retirement-IM offers non-discretionary investment advisory services to public employers who pre-fund their other post-employment benefits such as post-employment healthcare.
