The company was founded by Stephan Odörfer and Tore Meyer on December 10, 2013 and is headquartered in Munich, Germany.

4tiitoo AG was founded in 2007 to bring the best of the Internet and modern information technologies intuitively closer to everyone. The core product is the operating system WeTab OS, which is based on MeeGo technology. MeeGo is jointly developed by Intel, Nokia and a large open source developer community and is hosted - as a true open source operating system - by the Linux Foundation. WeTab OS expands the MeeGo possibilities even more and is optimized for touch screens. The widget based user interface enables quick access to a comprehensive world of applications, news and multimedia content. True multitasking in combination with the use of common technologies such as Adobe Flash, Java and HTML5 provides users unique capabilities. Based on this unique operating system, the tablet computer WeTab was the first MeeGo product brought into the market by WeTab GmbH in late 2010. WeTab combines lifestyle design with powerful technology optimized for mobile use in the entire living environment. Starting in Germany WeTab is now available in several other European countries.
