Michael Frazier Thompson

Mr. Michael F.
Thompson is Executive Vice President, Head of Singapore and Head of the Wealth Management Group in Asia ex-Japan at PIMCO Asia Pte Ltd.
Mr. Thompson chairs the board of PIMCO Asia Ltd.
As head of global wealth management in Asia ex-Japan, he manages a group focused on building distribution relationships with financial institutions that outsource to third-party managers on the basis of open, guided or managed architecture.
Previously, he was head of European institutional remarketing and based in PIMCO’s London office.
Prior to joining PIMCO in 2006, he was responsible for U.K.
business development and marketing at Western Asset Management Company.
Mr. Thompson holds an undergraduate degree in economics and law from the University of Natal in South Africa.
