Matthew Starick

Mr. Matthew Starick is a Portfolio Manager at Merricks Capital Pty Ltd.
Prior to joining Merricks, he was Executive Manager Corporate Development for Metals X Ltd, a Perth-based, (ASX listed ) mining company.
In this role, he was responsible for identifying and executing asset investment and divestment opportunities.
From 2006 to 2008, he w worked for Citadel Investment Group (Chicago).
Prior to joining Citadel, he was Director, Head of Asian Materials Research at Merrill Lynch Equities International between 2004 and 2006 where he conducted fundamental research on China and Hong Kong equities and led a team of analysts covering Materials Equities in Japan, South Korea, India and Australia.
Between 1999 and 2004, he worked in research roles at Merrill Lynch Equities Australia, covering Base Metals, Coal, Steel, Chemicals and Gold.
Prior to working in Financial services, he worked as a geologist at Rio Tinto Ltd.
Mr. Starick holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting/Finance) and a Bachelor of Science (Geology) from The University of Melbourne, Australia (1996).
