The firm was founded in 1999 and is a subsidiary of Oaktree Capital Group LLC, which is owned by Brookfield Corp. (TSX: BN; NYSE: BAM) in Canada. Oaktree Singapore provides investment management in a limited number of specialized niche markets where they believe the potential for reward outweighs the risk.
