Holtzbrinck Digital GmbH (Holtzbrinck Digital) is the strategic investment subsidiary of Verlagsgruppe Georg von Holtzbrinck GmbH in Germany. Formerly known as Holtzbrinck Networks GmbH, the firm originated in 2000 when all internet investments from the Verlagsgruppe von Holtzbrinck were consolidated to form Holtzbrinck NetworXs AG, which was subsequently split into Holtzbrinck Networks GmbH and Holtzbrinck Ventures GmbH in 2006. Located in Munich, Holtzbrinck Digital aims to develop new areas of business on the Web by managing interests in Internet companies and acquiring start-ups. From their experience as a venture partner helping to build B2C Internet companies, the firm has unique knowledge of how to build brands, win customers and handle regional expansion. They invest from the balance sheet of the parent company.

Its online platform enables students and teachers of any discipline to create and share their own study materials. The company’s platform is designed to complement qLearning’s popular mobile app, which already boasts a user base. The company was founded by Felix Klühr, Jonas Hoffmann, Silviu Apostu, Ludwig Schubert, Korbinian Weisser and Frederik Hagenauer in F 2012 and is headquartered in Berlin, Germany.
