Mr. Jonathon W.
Ansley, CFA, is a Research Analyst at Evolutionary Tree Capital Management LLC.
He focuses the majority of his time on in-depth, fundamental research of existing portfolio companies, identifying secular trends, and uncovering new investment opportunities.
He brings depth of knowledge and experience in the Technology sector.
Prior to joining the firm, he spent over five years at Sands Capital Management, a concentrated growth equity investment manager with over $40 billion in assets under management.
He joined the Sands Investment Team in 2012 as a Research Associate on the global Technology Sector Team.
In this role, he conducted in-depth fundamental research on a number of technology businesses, with a particular focus on Software and Internet companies.
He was involved in every step of the research process, from idea generation and research to vetting investment ideas with the Portfolio Managers.
His research supported both the Technology Innovators strategy and the Select Growth US Large-Cap Growth strategy, which was co-managed by Mr. Ricketts.
Before joining the Investment Team, he also spent time on the Client Relations Team at Sands Capital, where he gained valuable client service experience with large institutional clients.
Prior to his time at Sands Capital, he spent nearly four years as an Investment Performance Analyst at Cambridge Associates, an investment consultant to institutional investors, foundations and endowments, sovereign wealth funds, and private clients.
He received his B.A.
in Economics from the University of Virginia (2007) and was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation (2017).
