John Xanthoudakis

John Xanthoudakis is the founder and Chairman of the Norshield Financial Group, an established multinational investment firm specializing in hedge funds and alternative investment strategies.
He began his career as a consultant in the specialized field of managed futures and derivatives.
Subsequently, he designed and developed financial market software and trading systems, and founded his first company in 1982.
John’s interests in financial services and technology encouraged him to formulate a pioneering approach to investing and managing risk.
In the 1980’s, his firm created Tactical Market Timing for US stock indices, a proprietary product that has consistently outperformed the S&P 500 Index over the past ten years.
During this time, John broadened his investment skills by developing an expertise in risk management and hedge funds.
In 1984, his entrepreneurial drive led him to establish the Norshield Financial Group, which includes: Norshield Asset Management (USA) in 1987, Norshield Asset Management (Canada) in 1990.
John’s unique approach to global investment has qualified him to participate in a variety of national and international forums on alternative investment strategies.
He has also been the subject of feature articles and profiles in several Canadian and International business magazines.
