CCM is a value investor, focusing on the long-term fundamentals of good companies that are currently out of favor and selling below their intrinsic value. For fixed-income, they employ an active bond management approach that brings together talented investment professionals, a disciplined methodology and hard work to achieve attractive, risk-adjusted returns. The firm utilizes the same value-based approach they use in equity research. They focus their efforts on the following critical areas of fixed-income investing: sector selection, credit analysis and risk control. CCM performs most of its research in-house.

Alesco invests clients’ assets in accordance with their unique investment objectives and risk tolerance. The specific selection of investments is based on internal analysis of competing investment products. The firm utilizes fundamental analysis and asset allocation theories, including quantitative modeling to formulate investment decisions. Though they may invest in a variety of securities, index and index-based mutual funds and ETFs are the most commonly recommended types of securities for accounts where Alesco serves as the discretionary investment manager.

FGIM primarily provides advice with respect to equity investment strategies; however, they do not recommend a particular type of security. The firm’s strategies include core international/emerging market equities, international equity, international small- and mid-cap equity, balanced/asset allocation, managed risk and the Kaufmann Accounts. The Kauffman strategy invests in small, mid or large-cap stocks, utilizing a fundamental bottom-up process seeking growth companies and may invest in less developed or emerging markets.
