Mr. Smart joined Dominus Capital in 2020 and currently serves as a Partner.
He is responsible for fundraising and investor relations and assists with the firm in business development.
Prior to joining Dominus, Mr. Smart worked at MVision Private Equity Advisers, where he focused on the origination, evaluation and diligence of new and emerging managers within the private equity sector.
He was a founding member and Managing Partner of CSW Private Equity (“CSW”).
CSW focused on investing in and raising capital for middle market growth - oriented consumer product and general industrial manufacturing & service companies.
Prior to CSW, Mike was a Principal at First Atlantic Capital and a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch where he raised more than $16 billion in capital for private equity funds.
Mr. Smart received an M.B.A.
from the Wharton School and a Bachelors of Administration degree from Howard University.
