Mr. Jean-Pierre Frefel is Partner at Aquila & Co. AG since August 2002, and Managing Partner at Aquila Invest Basel AG since October 2001.
He is also on the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the Basel Financial Center and Chairman of the Board of Directors of BIAG Börsen Informations AG in Basel.
At Aquila Investment, Mr. Frefel handles various projects and special mandates.
Before Aquila, he had worked at Bank Coop in Basel for eight years as a member of the executive committee.
There he was Head of Trading, Banking Relations, and Institutional Clients, and CEO (1999 - 2001).
From 1987, he held the same positions at Basler Kantonalbank.
Prior to that, he was Head of Trading at Nat.
West (Coutts & Co.) in Zürich from 1972 to 1987.
He had also been a floor trader in Brussels, Chicago, and Basel.
Mr. Frefel earned his AIBD diploma in 1975.
He completed a variety of training, among them, IMD, Lausanne, IGK St. Gallen, and internal training at Nat.
West in England.
