Morris, CFA MBA, is a Portfolio Manager at McElhenny Sheffield Capital Management LLC.
specializes in tactical investment strategies and technical analysis for MSCM.
Grant joined MSCM after developing a rules-based trend following strategy to manage his personal investable assets.
Through extensive research and analysis, Grant has found that his disciplined trend following approach allows him to participate in most of the “good times” in the stock market while avoiding much of the downside; resulting in larger compounded returns over full market cycles, as compared to typical buy-and-hold strategies.
Grant now manages multiple tactical ETF strategies for MSCM clients as well as for his own accounts.
Mr. Morris has over 13 years of experience serving clients in the financial services industry.
He was previously a Director at AlixPartners, where he advised and testified on economic damages in commercial litigation as a financial expert.
Prior to working at AlixPartners, Mr. Morris performed business valuations and litigation consulting at the BVA Group.
Before working as a consultant, he was an engineer for a global telecom equipment manufacturer.
He received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
