George Stelling

Mr. George Stelling is COO, Managing Director & Co-Founder at Prophet Equity LLC.
Prior to his current role at Prophet Equity, Mr. Stelling was Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Global Services Leader at NVIDIA Corporation, a $3.5Bn graphic processor manufacturer.
During Mr. Stelling's tenure at NVIDIA, EBIT more than doubled on a year-on-year basis in part due to cost savings initiatives deployed by Mr. Stelling and his teams in the information systems, infrastructure, real estate, and procurement organizations.
Prior to NVIDIA, Mr. Stelling was VP, Global Pricing and Sales Operations at ON Semiconductor, where he worked with the management team and Texas Pacific Group Capital to return the $1.3Bn semiconductor manufacturer to profitability using both margin improvement and restructuring techniques.
Outside of high tech, he served as SVP, Sales, for The Franklin Mint, where he worked with private investors to return the $500M direct marketing company to profitability by jettisoning unprofitable customers and markets and reducing global overhead.
In the 1990s, Mr. Stelling was a senior manager at Bain & Company where he worked extensively on re-engineering, post-merger integration, and operational improvement programs in the US, Europe, and South Africa.
His most notable successes included profit improvement work at Continental Airlines, South African Airways, Nedcor Bank, Dell Computer, and Qwest Communications.
In the late 1980s, he worked in Price Waterhouse's re-engineering and information systems practices, where he lead initiatives to re-engineer key business processes and adopt new software to improve cycle time, error rates, and costs in financial services and governmental services customers.
Mr. Stelling has an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University, where he was awarded magna cum laude in government.
