Bela Labovitch is a global technology executive with over thirty years’ experience in public, private equity, and start-up companies in the Healthcare, Financial, Publishing and eCommerce industries.
She has first-hand experience in technology strategy, product development, operations, transformational leadership, and compliance/risk management.
Bela currently serves as the Vice President of Engineering at athenahealth, a $1.9 billion health technology company that provides cloud-based software and services to providers and health systems.
Bela oversees a 400+ member global product engineering organization for the $1.2B+ cloud-based revenue cycle management product, where she has driven significant cost savings and efficiencies and has brought new products to market.
The healthcare industry is undergoing a massive transformation, and Bela has firsthand perspective and experience of payer systems, revenue lifecycle management and emerging business models.
She also has experience with corporate governance issues including risk management, regulatory compliance, audit, and cyber security.
She currently serves on the Operating Committee of the DaVinci Project – a standards body focused on improving healthcare interoperability and the corporate Cybersecurity risk committee.
Bela currently serves on the board of directors for Parents Helping Parents and serves on the Human resources, technology, and audit committees.
She also volunteers as a parental stress counselor, STEM mentor and helps to place women on nonprofit boards.
Bela is passionate about bringing more women to technology and is the executive sponsor of Girls Who Code, divisional D&I champion and founded her company’s Women in Technology program.
