Andrea Boehmert

Mrs. Andrea Böhmert is Co-Managing Partner of Hasso Plattner Ventures Africa and has been responsible for the initial set up of the Fund in South Africa.
From 2004 to 2007 she was Co-Founder and Partner of Cape Venture Partners, a VC intermediary focusing on providing mentoring support to high potential but early stage technology companies ready for external investments.
In this role she developed a strong network with the South African Funding and entrepreneurial community.
Mrs. Böhmert is Chairperson of the Cape IT Initiative, the Western Cape Umbrella organisation that represents the IT Cluster, and also serves as a Director on the Board of the IT Business Incubator, Bandwidth Barn.
Before working with Cape Venture Partners, she had Senior Management positions at Dimension Data and Siemens.
She received her business degree from RWTH Aachen, Germany and holds an MBA from Henley Management College, UK.
